AAT Distance Learning Courses

Our distance learning accounting & bookkeeping courses are fully accredited by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). AAT’s qualifications are recognised internationally by employers and other professional accounting bodies such as ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA, etc.

Our distance learning courses, also sometimes referred to as "home study", "self study" or "correspondence courses", allow you to learn at your own pace, at your own convenience wherever you want. They are ideal for you if you wish to study for your professional accounting qualifications without the weekly commitments or commuting hassle of classroom based courses.

We provide you with all the study material (books, online videos, etc.) and tutor support you'll need to understand the accounting concepts and pass your exams.

You can enrol and start learning whenever you want; you don't have to wait for any start dates.

What our students say*:
Standard of teaching - 9.5/10
Overall support and guidance - 9.6/10

Quality of resources provided  - 9.5/10

Would recommend us as an AAT training provider  - 100%

"I run a small business with my husband. I chose distance learning so I can fit my studies in my working schedule. The best thing about distance learning is I can study whenever and wherever I want. My tutor is very supportive. He always replies to me promptly and explains complicated questions in a clear and simple way when I email my questions to him. I have passed Level 2 Bookkeeping with his support."

How does it work?

When you enrol, you will receive the books for your course (the number of books you get will depend on what course you enrol for), and also receive access to digital learning material such as online recorded videos, revision and practice activities (the resources vary between the courses and modules).

You will also receive a suggested study plan which will help you to plan your studies.

You will be allocated a tutor who will be contactable anytime via email or WhatsApp. You will also be able to speak to them over the phone (with prior arrangement). The duration of the tutor support depends on your course.

Once you and your tutor are confident that you have understood the learning content, you can sit your exam at one of many AAT assessment venues across the UK, or indeed across the world if you are one of our overseas students.

Why choose Learning Academy?

Here at Learning Academy we believe that the best way to learn accounting is with the help of an experienced tutor, not by relying solely on the textbooks. That is the underlying belief driving our teaching methods. Choosing to study at your own pace and at your own convenience does not mean you have to study on your own. When you choose to study accounting via distance learning with Learning Academy, you are not on your own.

You have the full support of your tutor and access to the study material designed by our tutors.

Our USP is the collective expertise and experience of our tutors who have years of experience in teaching accounting and also working in the industry.

Our goal is not just to make you pass your exams, but to equip you with the knowledge and skills that will help you practice what you have learnt, whether in your job as an accountant or in your business.

"I had never done a home study course before so initially I was a bit apprehensive about how it works. I did not need to worry...The tutor support is really great...I really enjoy studying with Learning Academy and I am grateful for all the help and support from Mr. Bharat Shah, director of Learning Academy, and other tutors through my studies. I will be highly recommending Learning Academy to anyone."
